Team44 partners with Rush University Children’s Hospital

Team44 is excited to announce our new partnership with Rush University Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Team44 will be collaborating with Rush to equip their 20 pediatric patient rooms - and 5 treatment rooms - with gaming consoles so patients can connect with their friends through online gaming and take their focus away from their hospitalization and treatment.

"We are looking forward to our new partnership with Team 44, who, through fundraising and generous donations from the community, will help Rush University Children's Hospital give patients access to the benefits of diversion and engagement with peers through video games. Providing children and teens with the opportunity to "escape" from the stressors of health care experiences, and participate in something so normalizing, will have a significant impact on their hospital stay, coping and overall well-being. Play and socialization are the underpinnings of childhood and adolescence, and Team 44 is helping to provide these experiences in unique ways for patients during what is likely the most challenging time in their young lives." – Shira Miller, Manager, Child Life and Creative Arts Therapies, Rush University Children’s Hospital
